Join me in creating a safer today for our youth and make a difference. Help Elyssa's Mission continue to provide suicide prevention programming to our local schools.
The Tour de Friends all ride and raise funds for different reasons but we have one thing in common. We all know someone who has lost their life to suicide. Barely a day goes by when we don't hear about another youth suicide but with you help, we can reverse the trend.
Elyssa's Mission, a non-profit organization that provides resources to support at-risk teens and prevent suicide. Elyssa's Mission was founded in honor of Elyssa Meyers, who took her own life at the age of 16. Elyssa's Mission fully funds and implements the evidence-based SOS Signs of Suicide® Prevention Program in middle and high schools throughout Illinois. The SOS program not only educates teens on warning signs and what to do if they are concerned about themselves or a friend, but further helps identify at-risk students and link them to essential mental health services. We assist with all components of the SOS program including planning, training, teaching and follow-up. Last year alone, we educated 43,000 students. Specifically, 2,695 students were identified as needing mental health services and 74 students were immediately hospitalized.
Through your support we can continue to save more young lives. Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet our goal for ELYSSA'S MISSION.
